There is nothing guaranteed to put fish off a fly than an obvious leader.

This little waistcoat accessory is made of excellent quality leather.

It is lined with wool pads. Grip your leader between them as you pull the leader through.

Treat the pads with your favourite degreaser or washing up liquid and any grease is removed.

When covering a rising fish this means there is less chance of disturbance as the leader is pulled back.

Your leader will sink readily allowing a ripple free retrieve.

But 2 and treat the other with line flotant for when dry fly fishing or when a skating retrieve is desirable, say, in a wave.
